Q. I have seen a job I like, what do I do next?
A. If you are registered and your CV is uploaded, simply apply for the jobs online straight away. All of the relevant details will be added to the job post and you can put yourself in contention in seconds.
Q. I can't find a job in my field when I did a job search, am I doing something wrong?
A. Chances are that there may be no vacancies advertised in that field or area at the time of searching. Double check your search and if the result remains the same then try other related fields or wait for the next posting.
Q. I saw a job listing recently, but it seems to have disappeared. How do I find it?
A. It is likely that the position has been filled or the employers has received enough applications and removed the advertisement.
Q. I can't seem to get hold of the employer through the listed details, do you have alternative details?
A. Unfortunately not. We are a portal for employers and jobseeker to meet. The employer lists their details themselves and we therefore have no access to other contact details.
Q. Why should I add my CV to you database?
A. Adding your CV to Jobtopia will allow you to quickly and easily apply for jobs online and it will also be available to all employers who could contact you if you meet their requirements. Your CV has to be uploaded in order for you to apply for jobs online at Jobtopia.co.za.
Q. Can I remove my CV?
A. Yes, you can enable or disable your CV at any point.
Q. What do I do if I have forgotten my password?
A. Once you have entered an incorrect username and password, you will be directed to a new screen. Here you will find a prompt asking if you have forgotten your password. Simply put in your email address and follow the steps sent to you via email.
Q. What is Jobs by Email?
A. This added benefit allows you to receive a free email with all the latest vacancies that match your requirements, skills and location and can assist you to find a job much quicker.
Q. How often will I receive these emails?
A. Around twice a week.
Employers
Q. Where do I advertise a Job on the site?
A. When landing on Jobtopia.co.za, select the employer menu item, or click on advertise now from the home page.
Q. Is there anything I need to do if I want to post jobs online?
A. Yes, you will need to register yourself as an employer. Please fill out the Registration form and follow the steps in order to access the Employers section.
Q. Once I am logged in, what steps do I follow to list my vacancies?
A. Once you have logged in with your username and password, select Advertise Job Vacancies, fill out the form with information of the job and click submit. You can advertise as many vacancies as you like.
Q. How do I pay for an advertisement and what steps do I follow?
A. There are a few options, please take note of the steps below:
Step 1: Login
Go to the following URL and enter the username and password supplied for the Admin section.

Step 2: Add/Edit Payment Plans
Click on the Employer Plans menu item located in the menu in the admin area.
Step 3: Add New Employer Plan
Click on Add New Employer Plan and configure the package / plan:
• Set Access levels to Jobseeker database and amount of CV’s & profiles
• Also set if they want Featured Employer and Exclusive Homepage
• Set no. CV’s , Job Posts & Time
Payment Options
Step 1: Login/Register Employer
Click on the Employers menu item to log in/register Employer.
Step 2: Update Employer Plan
Click on the Update Employer Plans menu item, browse through plans and purchase one by paying either through Paypal (Credit Card) or Invoice (EFT).
Step 2.1: EFT Invoice
If ‘Pay via Invoice’ is selected, this will bring up a notification page and an email will be sent to admin@jobtopia.co.za and the employers email for approval.
Step 2.2: Paypal Credit Card
If 'Pay via Paypal' is selected, the user will be redirected to Paypal's secure payment page. Here the user must fill in all credentials, once payment is complete, they will redirect back to 'confirmation' page.
With selecting an employment package, the employer will only have access to the number of jobs and posts entered into when configuring the package via the admin panel, as well as being restricted to a time period.
